About DJ Amul.
Started spinning professionally at the age of 19, DJ Amul not only learnt the art of mixing from the grandmaster Jo Azaredo , but he also mentored there for a long-time – churning out technically skilled DJs. Initially, DJ Amul exhibited his mixing skills by participating in DJ competitions (including the Battle of DJs 2007) and various other university oriented contests. In no time, DJ Amul got inclined towards the then emerging Electronic Music scene, which eventually became his ultimate passion.
DJ Amul was into Minimal Techno way before the top seeds even touched it & started dishing out Minimal Techno to his frenzied followers. However, personally DJ Amul is a dedicated Electronic Music lover who isn’t caged by a single genre (unlike the most). “What makes my music sets unbeaten is that it doesn’t stick to one genre and monotonous style. While I love to spin Dub/Dubstep, Glitch, Drum-n-Bass, Break Beat, Tech-House, House, Minimal Techno, Nu-Disco, Funk,” he says.
DJ Amul has collaborated and performed with end number of Indian & International DJs, Producers and Musicians. He has played with bigwigs like DJ Steve, DJ JC Jason (Trilogy, Dubai), Bass Society aka Nasha, DJ MarcRobijn (Supperclub, Amsterdam), Shiva SoundSystem (U.K), Funk D’Void (Barcelona), Pawas Gupta (Daso & Pawas, Germany), Ravi Chari Quartet and many other Vocalists, Percussionists and Instrumental Musicians. DJ Amul continues to present his original and unique sound, branding to an inquisitive party crowd that is swiftly developing into a community of loyal fans.
